Imagine Water Works
Hurricane Laura Mutual Aid Fund

Hurricane Laura was a catastrophic category 4 storm, the largest that Louisiana has seen since 1856, that has significantly impacted and changed the lives of South West Louisiana citizens forever.

If you’d like to help out, please donate or share, or learn more about the fundraiser please click here. All proceeds go directly to supporting people from SW Louisiana who are most impacted by the storm, prioritizing Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

Imagine Water Works accountability measures have been listed on the fundraiser since they launched it. Their team is led by multi-generational native Louisianans who evacuated for/after Katrina; their accountability comes not just from these posted commitments but also from our community, families, neighbors, and friends who we live and share these experiences with.

Parent Actions and Need to Knows…

Please Complete:
Virtual Learning Parent Feedback Survey

Dear New Harmony families,

Thank you for all the support you’ve provided to students over the first three weeks of virtual learning. It’s a new and challenging world for everyone, and we appreciate your help tremendously.

As a staff, we are always thinking about how to make things better for students, so we’d love to hear from you about how you think things are going so far. Please complete this survey about you and your child’s experience with virtual learning thus far this year: Virtual Learning Survey – Families.

Staff will use this information to make changes to improve you and your child’s experience with virtual learning. The survey is anonymous, but you can choose to share your name at the end of the survey, if you’d like. Your honest thoughts and feedback are important and appreciated!

Please complete by the end of the day on Thursday 9/4.

Thank you!

Join the Special Education Advisory Committee!

NHH is starting a Special Education Advisory Committee!  This committee will provide advice and feedback regarding special education policies, procedures, and resources. It will also engage in outreach activities with the community at large to increase the level of knowledge, support, and collaboration with respect to special education.

If your child has an Individual Education Program (IEP) and you are interested in joining the Special Education Advisory Committee at New Harmony, please complete this interest form.  We will meet at least 3 times this year, either virtually or in person, and submit an annual report to Sunny (school leader) in May.

Parent Office Hours: New Times

At the request of our parents, optional office hours for parent questions/concerns are now offered at two different times: Tuesday at 9-9:45 a.m. and Wednesday 3-3:45 p.m. We will alternate weeks for morning or afternoon sessions. Check out the calendar for a direct link to Zoom. If you can’t make either of those times work, please let Sunny know (sunny@newharmonyhigh.org) and we can schedule something else.

Student Learning: The Virtual Hub

Our online hub for virtual learning is live: New Harmony Virtual Hub. This website holds all the key information students need for online learning: orientation links, links to student Gmail, Google Classroom, student schedules, as well as links to join live Zoom classes. (Note: you can only access the links to live Zoom classes with a NH email account.) We will post weekly announcements with important info to the hub under the “Announcements” tab.
