The New York Times recently published an article with several fantastic examples of project-based learning environments in high schools and internships. The educational philosophy behind project-based learning is preparing students for the dynamic, challenging environments they will encounter in college or their careers. Hands-on experiences allow students to learn how to collaborate, work through failures and build upon successes. New Harmony is looking forward to offering its students the opportunity to learn through projects of their own design that will connect them with interdisciplinary academic fields and with members of their community.
